British boy band One Direction has taken the U.S. by storm and is at the top of their game but even Simon Cowell never imagined they would be this big.
Simon, who is 1D's manager and discovered them on U.K.'s X Factor, said he thought they would work as a band but that you can't predict these kinds of things.
Simon did acknowledge that the boys have put in the work to be successful saying, "They've worked hard. They work really well as a group. The records are good. They're nice guys to work with. So the world, right now, is theirs."
And while the world might be theirs, the guys will definitely dominate this fall when they drop their single, "Live While We're Young," on October 1 and drop their sophomore album, Take Me Home, on November 13.
