Not only did about 80 artists and musicians band together yesterday for the “We Are The World” remake, but Simon Cowell did some wrangling of his own. The Idol judge recruited several artists for a cover of the REM hit “Everybody Hurts” with the intent of helping the victims in Haiti.

The track features Leona Lewis, Robbie Williams and ex-Take That bandmates Gary Barlow and Mark Owen, as well as Rod Stewart, Mariah Carey, Cheryl Cole, Jon Bon Jovi, Michael Buble, Kylie Minogue, Susan Boyle and Westlife.

The track will be available starting Sunday, February 7 at hmv.com, play.com, or amazon.co.uk - with all the proceeds split between the Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC) and the Sun newspaper's Helping Haiti campaign. You can also get a sneak peek of the song below. We love the remake! Job well done, Simon.
