Remember how you loved the songs “Coming Home” by Diddy Dirty Money and also “Love the Way You Lie”” by Eminem?
Well, get ready to enjoy them again, stripped down and featuring all vocals from each songs performed by featured artist, Skylar Grey.
Grey penned their hooks and was featured on versions of both those tracks, and now she has just released the digital album, “The Buried Sessions of Skylar Grey”, which boasts acoustic versions of the smash hits “Love The Way You Lie,” ‘Coming Home” and also the Lupe Fiasco song, “Words I Never Said.”
“The Buried Sessions” is out now on all digital retailers, so hurry up and click over to iTunes!
In case you’re still reading, Grey also has a brand new single coming out on January 31, 2011. Her new song is a collaboration with Kaskade for his current single, “Room for Happiness.”
Grey wrote and lent her vocals to the song and it will debut in two-parts: The “Fire” mix, which features Kaskade’s signature dance beats, and the “Ice” mix, which is a stripped down haunting version of the dance track.
Even though Grey has been making cameos on some of the best songs from 2010 and 2011, her debut album “ Invinsible” will finally drop sometime early this year.
Grey made her Grammy debut last year when she performed “I Need a Doctor” live, along with the two industry veterans, Eminem and Dr. Dre. Thanks to Grey’s inclusion on the song, that track is nominated for two Grammy awards this year.
Grey’s co-writing credit on “Love The Way You Lie,” the version featuring Rihanna, was the biggest selling single of 2010. Let’s hope she strikes Grammy gold again with her other Eminem collaboration.
