Sneak Peek of Glee's Whitney Houston Episode

After Whitney Houston passed away in February, Glee coincidentally covered her iconic song “I will Always Love You” in an episode that followed her death. However, Glee has geared up to do an entire tribute episode to the phenomenal singer.

The episode is being called “Dance With Somebody” and since every episode of Glee features the cast dancing with somebody, how will this episode be any different?

Well, the episode will feature eight of Houston’s biggest hits and it’s rumored that “I Wanna Dance With Somebody” and “It’s Not Right, But It’s Okay” will be some of the covered songs.

However, simply based on the fact that nobody can really do a Whitney Houston song justice, I’m assuming every song will be performed by Mercedes, because let’s be real, can wheelchair kid and blonde cheerleader really pull off “When You Believe?” Dibs on wheelchair kid playing the “Mariah Carey” part.

The photos from the episode show Brittany and Santana dressed in a signature Whitney Houston grey tank dress, and other photos of Blaine sitting behind a fancy looking clear desk in a suit, and I’m trying to figure out what this image has anything to do with Whitney?

Amber Riley who plays Mercedes, previously spoke out about the first time she met Whitney Houston.

Riley remembers meeting her icon at a pre-Grammy party one year.

“I was battling if I wanted to go over there because she’s such an icon and such an inspiration to me,” says Riley, “I went over and thanked her for letting us use her music and entrusting it to us on Glee and she was like “what show are you on, baby?” and I said ‘Glee,’ and she rubbed my hand and said, ‘You’re welcome and God bless you.’”

“I almost started crying,” revealed Riley.
