Steven Tyler can’t be bothered by the petty news about the bushels of money producers are throwing at Jennifer Lopez to return to “American Idol.” He’s too busy winning at life.
During a Tuesday night show at Nashville’s infamous Bluebird Cafe (made even more infamous via ABC’s drama series “Nashville”), Tyler made a surprise appearance, performing two songs, “Jaded” and “Dream On,” from behind a lone keyboard. Scheduled to perform last night was Mallary Hope, Phil Barton, Lindsey Lee and Marti Frederiksen, who co-wrote “Jaded” and invited the rock legend on stage.
According to The Associated Press, the 90-seat room is the tiniest performance of Tyler’s career, and he was in town to churn out some new material:
“Tyler told The Associated Press that he had never performed in a room that small and that he was in Nashville to write songs.”
