Report: Susan Boyle to Record Bond Song

Being the artist picked to sing the James Bond theme song is always an honor. And we hear breakout star of 2009 Susan Boyle is in the running for the next installment of the franchise!

According to British blog Female First, composer Monty Norman of the 007 theme music thinks Boyle would be a great choice. “They’ll think seriously because she’s got the right kind of sweeping voice,” he said.

Lee Pfeiffe,r co-author of The Essential James Bond book, described Susan as "a throwback to those great days when the likes of Dame Shirley Bassey would be asked to sing".

Some of the biggest music stars have recorded theme songs to Bond films, including Sir Paul McCartney, Alicia Keys and Jack White, Madonna and Duran Duran. But Susan has proved that she hang with the big boys! Her album I Dreamed a Dream has already sold 2 million copies worldwide - making it the fastest-selling debut album by a woman ever.

We’d love to see Susan do the Bond theme song!
