Taylor Swift, Lady Antebellum and Kenny Chesney Lead Academy of Country Music Awards
January 26, 2012 by: MADISON VANDERBERG

Swift only gained 3 nominations, which is pretty low for her standards, but she was still the most nominated female solo artist. Sorry Miranda Lambert, the tweens have spoken.
Kenny Chesney grabbed 9 nominations, leading the pack for solo male nominees, followed closely by Jason Aldean with 6 nominations.
Lady Antebellum led the country groups with 5 nods.
And like last year, fans will vote for their favorite Entertainer of the Year and also best new artist of the year, which is just the category they create so that Taylor Swift can win another award.
The nominees were announced in a new way, instead of a live telecast, the nominees were read in a series of videos that were posted on facebook and twitter.
Stars like Reba, Lionel Richie and “2 Broke Girls” star Beth Behrs announced the nominees in a batch of videos while music fans from around the country announced the Entertainer of the Year nominees which include Jason Aldean, Kenny Chesney, Brad Paisley, Blake Shelton and Taylor Swift.
Blake Shelton and Reba will host this years awards show on Sunday April 1, 2012 to air on CBS.
