Taylor Swift, who’s looking prettier and prettier these days, took to YouTube in a :30 second video to drum up excitement for an announcement that is sure to be constructed so as to drum up excitement for something “cool.”
The video invites her fans to a live webchat next Monday, August 13th at 7 p.m. EST on her YouTube channel. In the video she says “I wanna share some news with you—some really cool news. I’m not gonna go into it too much [now], but it’s cool.”
Could it be about an album, that has already been scheduled to be released this October, mayhap? As Idolator points out, Taylor hasn’t released a new album in two years, and she’s been working on new stuff lately. Presumably, the new tunes will be about the heartaches and trials of her relationship with Jake Gyllenhaal, as the thing with Connor Kennedy is too young to be immortalized in song just yet.
Taylor’s latest project was a surprisingly unawkward collaboration with B.o.B. titled “Both of Us,” and she’s already stated that she’s working with people like Mark Foster, Ed Sheeran and Butch Walker on her upcoming album. Maybe the podcast on the 13th will be a Pick-A-Collaborator thing? If so, I hope a bunch of people jump on there and vote for Rage Against the Machine, so we can see how America's Unicorn handles rap metal.
