Taylor Swift did a cover of Eminem's famous 2002 song "Lose Yourself" during her Speak Now 2011 tour.
At each stop of her tour, Taylor pays homage to local artists and does covers of songs that debuted in the city she's performing in.
When her tour hit Canada she did a medley of covers, which included Justin Bieber's "Baby" and Alanis Morrissette's "You Learn."
So at a stop in Grand Rapids, Michigan she did covers of "Loose Yourself" and also Uncle Kracker's 2009 hit "Smile." Eminem grew up in Detroit, Michigan while Uncle Kracker (who I learned is a musician and not the founder of Cracker Barrel) was raised in Harrison Township, Michigan.
The best part was when she rapped the Eminem song. See, if you are a skinny pixie stick type chick who primarily sings songs about picking
out wedding dresses and how your heart was broken by Joe Jonas, it is always funny and always appropriate to pretend to rap. Everybody loves it. All the time. Always.
Taylor Swift in a dress and red lipstick saying "yo" and rapping about "vomit on his sweater already, mom's spaghetti." There is nothing greater.
Though this isn't Swifts first foray into rap music, she once rapped with T-pain in a parody video for the 2009 CMT awards in a song called "Thug Story." She had grillz, a snapback hat, and a chain with a gold money sign on it! Word.
