Here goes Taylor Swift. Teasing more music to fans.
She posted a cryptic photo on Instagram yesterday with the letter "5" and the word "Woods" underneath it. We guessed Taylor was teasing "Out of the Woods," a song off her forthcoming 1989 album, which she discussed in her interview with Rolling Stone.
5 days. #1989
Rolling Stone alluded that "Out of the Woods" was written about her ex-boyfriend Harry Styles. The song is "a frantic tale of a relationship where … 'every day was a struggle. Forget making plans for life - we were just trying to make it to next week,'" she said.
She also revealed that the song is about a bad snowmobile accident she experienced with said ex-boyfriend.
One lyric in the song goes - "Remember when you hit the brakes too soon/ Twenty stitches in a hospital room.”
The accident never made headlines because Taylor asked the witnesses not to say anything to press. “You know what I’ve found works even better than an NDA [non-disclosure agreement]? Looking someone in the eye and saying, ‘Please don’t tell anyone about this.’ ”
Sure, well okay.
"Out of the Woods" was co-written by fun./Bleachers' Jack Antonoff and he seems just as excited about the song as Taylor.
not a correction: "OUT OF THE WOODS" is one of the most important things I've ever been a part of. cannot wait for you to hear it

We honestly feel bad for Harry Styles and any other ex-boyfriend that Taylor Swift has written a song about. We get it. You're heartbroken, sad times make for great music. But do you really have to reveal so much? It's honestly a bit cringy. If this new track is going to be anything like "Dear John," our face and palms are going to permanently meet. *Face Palms 4Ever*
