U2’s 360 word tour was the highest earning tour of 2011, according to new statistics. Which is really surprising, because I didn’t even know U2 was still a thing. Not to mention Lady Gaga toured this year, and well, people are obsessed with Lady Gaga.

She could release an album of herself belching, and the world be like,”omg she’s so edgy and profound. This one burp really speaks to me.”

Anyway, U2’s series of concerts began in 2009 and grossed $293 million over 44 shows this year...

Bono: U2 Can't Create a "Meaningful" New Album
U2 may be the highest grossing band in the entire world, but lead singer Bono doesn’t think the band is capable of creating a “meaningful” new album. Come again?

U2, who is set to re-release their 1991 album 'Achtung Baby' - admitted they are currently working on three albums, but Bono thinks it's "unlikely" they will be able to create a significant record people would want to buy. Um…wait, is this reverse psychology? Like I’m gonna go out and buy it to make sure it’s not as good as he claims? I’m confused.

He told Q magazine: "U2 has been on the verge of irrelevance for 20 years. We've ducked and dived and dodged it. We've made some great albums, some great songs; laid a few eggs, not that many. Turkeys, I mean. Lots of people have U2 albums - why they would want another one is a reasonable question.
