Adele’s “21” album is slowly creeping up on records set by Usher’s 2004 “Confessions” album. Usher’s album has sold nearly 10 million copies since it’s release and Adele’s album sold just over 8 million copies, so Usher is telling people to stop buying Adele’s album so she wont beat his record!
“I have to confess that that I have told a few people not to go and buy Adele’s album because I don’t want her to go and break my record,” Usher admitted.
Well, I mean, the album IS called “confessions.” Confession: I don’t like Adele!
Well, that’s half true. Usher followed up very quickly saying, “No, actually, I love her. Unfortunately, she’s the closest to breaking my record for the last 10 years. So now, guys, don’t go and buy that album right now.”
This is my impression of Usher, “Hey guys don’t buy Adele’s album. Haha, I’m just kidding, I love her. NO BUT SERIOUSLY, don’t buy her album.”
Oh also, he either wants to cash in on her success or Usher genuinely does love her music because he says that he wants to collaborate on a song together.
“I think the world deserves an Usher and Adele record. That’s what I think,” says the R&B crooner, “That would be the other U.K. connection that I think everybody would be really fond of and enjoy.”
