Nothing is hotter than talent. And let us tell you, there's an abundance of talent in indie music right now. We were inspired to compile a list of some of fiercest babes stealing stages at the moment. Let us know if you agree.
Annie Clark (St. Vincent) - With those disney princess eyes, darling voice, and her ability to absolutely slay on the guitar, Annie Clark is pretty much the babiest babe in indie-rock. It's rare that such talent and foxiness co-exist within one human being.
Janelle Monae - Janelle is an android biogenetically engineered to be rad, so it's kind of unfair that she's on here. Her fierce and quirky persona appeals to so many because she's not caged in to any specific aesthetic.
Charli XCX - Ever since Charli nearly choked to death on Pixie Stix while hanging out at Stereotude Studios, we haven't been able to take our minds off the UK pop songstress.
Warpaint - Yup. All of them. They awaken more than the dead with their seance-like indie-folk jams, ifyaknowhattamean.
Aluna Francis (AlunaGeorge) - The sultry UK dance-pop siren has moves, a great voice, and the kind of swagger that makes us feel endlessly sorry for the sucker she dumped before writing most of her lyrics.
Alexis Krauss (Sleigh Bells) - Wall of sound/Wall of hotness. Sleigh Bells make the heaviest sugar pop known to man, and Alexis has headbanged her way into our hearts.
Kelela - The femme fatale of the Fade to Mind label was sent from the future to make our insides feel weird and to show us what R&B will be like in 30 years.
Banks - Jillian Banks makes sex music for white people and we like it a lot. Thanks to Stereotude, you can say you developed a creepy infatuation with her before anyone else!
Solange - Beyonce's kid sister is stepping into her own and blossoming like a springtime flower or some other cheesy metaphor used to describe her level of babery.
Alice Glass (Crystal Castles) - We can't tell if we're afraid of Alice Glass or kind of in love with her. Maybe both -- The combination is a distinctly unique and arousing sensation.
