13-Year Old Rachel Crow Early Favorite on X-Factor

It may be too early to tell, but X-Factor fans are already choosing their early favorites and the honors are going to 13-year-old singer Rachel Crow.

Adorable little Rachel Crow tells the X-Factor camera crew, “I’m 13 years old. I’m in the 8th grade.” She then pops onto the stage and as the audience we assume she’s being featured because she’s crazy amazing or devastatingly horrible. We hope it’s the former, because making fun of a 13 year old who can’t sing is rude! Also funny, but mostly rude.

When Paula Abdul asks the pint sized pop star what she’d do with the $5 million prize money, she replied, “So you guys might think this is crazy, but my family has like no money. We live in a two-bedroom house and I have six people in my family…"

And then like a seasoned comedy pro, she wails on the punchline, “I’m a girl, I need my own bathroom!” Rachel Crow shuts down the house. Paula has thrown her hands into the air, it’s over! This is the funniest thing anyone has ever heard on television ever! 13 years old!? Get this girl a hosting gig asap!v
So now we’ve established that Rachel has tons of personality, she launches into her rendition of Duffy’s hit “Mercy,” and it’s REALLY good. Rachel growls on the track like veteran singers three-times her age.

Paula is obsessed with the girl, “I want you to know something. What you just did, is exactly what we need people to do on this stage. You delivered the goods on every level. You delivered with personality and then you opened up your mouth to sing and you blew us away.”

At this point in the audition process Cheryl Cole hadn’t been replaced by Nicole Scherzinger yet, so Cheryl exclaims, “Omigod, we found ourselves a little star.”

Then LA Reid, who I think is going to be the “name-dropper” this season reminds everyone that he used to sign famous artists, “You had everything that every artist I’ve ever signed has,” he tells Rachel, “[You’re] funk, fly, feisty, sassy, soulful, you got it all!”

Then Simon, who I am pleased to announce is still wearing grey v-necks, remarks, “Remember these two words. Rachel. Crow. Because I think we’re going to be hearing a lot about you.”

After each judge gave her a “yes” she excitedly squealed, “Thank you, I wont let you down!”

Aww X-Factor: making dreamz come true weekly!
