Hollyscoop talked to the first contestants who were eliminated on The X-Factor. The group InTENsity is comprised of ten kids, varying in ages, who were mentored by Paula Abdul. The group went up against Stereo Hoggz last week, when the judges voted them off of the show, 3 to 1. Surprisingly, that 1 was none other than Simon Cowell.
Emily Wilson, one of the members of InTENsity, told Hollyscoop:
"It was really great to have Simon on our side…to know that he really believed in us after making us was really special."
The groups on the show are mentored by the judges, and InTENsity says they had a great time with Paula.
Emily Michalak told us: "Paula gave us a really great phrase to say every time before we go on stage or whenever we get nervous. And quoted by Paula Abdul, 'Break the rules. Stand apart.'…and that's something that we always keep in mind when we're about to go onstage, or if anyone's nervous or upset about a performance."
Another favorite moment among the group was getting to visit the private homes of their celebrity mentors. Nick Dean told Hollyscoop:
"It was extremely fun, just teaching ourselves how to blend with each other. It was just extremely fun going to Paula's house."
Wilson added: "I think my favorite part about [the show] was when they put us into our group, because this is like my family now. And it’s really sad that we have to all go home. But it’s just a break. We’re just on pause. We’re not done."
And Ma'at Bingham Santiago told us: " For me personally, the best part of being in this competition is getting to share the stage and to be able to perform in front of millions of people with people who you love, with nine other people in this inTENsity group, and it’s just been really amazing. It’s sad that it ends now."
But no doubt these guys already have projects lined up. After all, you don't have Simon Cowell on your side and not get somewhere in the music business.
