X-Factor US Premieres in Los Angeles

I feel like we should be celebrating X-Factor’s fifth season in the US considering how much we’ve heard about it in the last year, but they finally had their series debut last night.

Simon Cowell, L.A. Reid, Nicole Scherzinger and Paula Abdul attended FOX's "The X Factor" world premiere screening at the Arclight Cinerama Dome in Hollywood on Wednesday.

Paula was decked out in a short sequins mini dress while Nicole wore a long silver sequins gown. Sex sells.

Simon is really hoping his US version of X-Factor will blow American Idol out of the water. I mean, it’s basically A.I. with a larger cash pot. It has 2 out of 3 of Idol’s ex judges and the same format so…

Anyway, back to the show, X-Factor will feature the largest prize in game show history--$5 million dollars. That’s a lotta cheddar yo! That probably makes up for the money they saved when they fired Cheryl Cole last minute.

Sure, the show finally debuting is exciting and all, but everyone was talking about how Simon was there with his is-she isn’t-she fiancé Mezhgan Hussainy. She attended the premiere with him and posed for photos and smiled and pretended everything was fine and dandy, but her gigantic rock was missing from her ring finger. No more engagement? Seems so.

Simon stunned listeners on Howard Stern's radio show earlier this week when he revealed he was unsure if his engagement to Mezhgan was still on.

When asked by Stern, Cowell replied: “I'm not sure. I get embarrassed talking about these things.” However, Cowell then told the Daily Mail the matter was 'private', adding: “This was me and my big mouth... I'm not even going to go there.”

Wait, it gets worse. Mezhgan reportedly even moved out of Simon’s house and relocated to another of his properties, nicknamed the 'girlfriend graveyard' by Simon’s friends. You know its bad when you go somewhere to have your relationship die. Why do girls still date this guy? Oh yeah, cause he’s loaded. #nevermind.

A friend told the Daily Mirror: “It looks like history is repeating itself. Some people have jokingly said that this other house is his girlfriend graveyard. It’s almost as though the girls get sent there when the relationship has died.”

The show debuts on Fox on September 21, will you tune in?
