When Zedd’s “Clarity” hit the radio, it brought the name Foxes, who’s featured on the track, into popular music’s radar in a very big way. He followed the track up with “Stay the Night,” which features another female singer: Hayley Williams of Paramore. More importantly, it alerted us to a Zedd collaboration trend, making us wonder: which lady would he want to hit up for his next single?
We caught up with the 24-year-old DJ at the iHeartRadio music festival and asked him that very question. Turns out, he has definitely thought about it…
“I would love to work with Adele, Katy Perry... Wow, there are so many,” said Zedd. “I don’t even know. I would need my laptop.”
On the subject of Bruno Mars, who headlined the event, Zedd also had positive things to say as well, especially about the Hawaiian crooner’s upcoming Super Bowl halftime show performance.
“I’m not worried at all. I think he is one of the best live singers out there,” he said. “I’ve seen his live performance at the VMAs. It was one of my favorite performances, personally.”
